This World War I poster promised that if you joined the navy you would see the world. You would also “become a self-reliant, capable man” and “become and independent man” as well as “become a master tradesman or mechanic”.
I love the tagline at the bottom of the poster – “See The World. Serve Your Country. Save Your Money.”
