1938 Popular Science article about growing pumpkins with human faces

I saw this at this post at the Modern Mechanix blog. This is seriously creepy looking. Can you imagine what one of these would look like with holes drilled in the eyes and the mouth carved out? Put a candle in one of those and scare the bejeezus out of the trick-or-treaters.
