Texas Cowboys c. 1901

It might surprise you to learn that the American Old West technically didn’t end until 1920 as the Mexican Revolution drew to a close. The above photo of this group of Texas Cowboys was taken at the turn of the century in 1901. Most folks probably think the Old West ended with the turning of the calendar from the 1800s to the 1900s, but it hung on until after the end of World War I.
